Veolia Maintenance Trusts
"Incorporating - Veolia Havering Riverside Maintenance Trust & Veolia Pitsea Marshes Maintenance Trust"

What Do We Do?

The Veolia Maintenance Trusts (Veolia Havering Riverside Maintenance Trust and Veolia Pitsea Marshes Maintenance Trust) distribute Landfill Community Fund (LCF) monies secured from Veolia UK Ltd, to support projects that benefit Havering's and Basildon's local community and environment. Veolia UK Ltd and other Landfill Operators contribute a proportion of their landfill tax liability to local community and environmental organisations.

The Veolia Maintenance Trusts can support projects that demonstrate "community benefit", in the geographical areas managed by Havering Council and Basildon Council. The Trusts provide funding to support capital projects (eg. new community facilities or improvements to existing facilities), as well as significant items of machinery and equipment; but they are not in a position to provide revenue funding (eg. the Trusts cannot provide funding to cover day to day management costs).

If any organisation wishes to find out more about how to apply for funding they should contact Gary Baker, the Trusts Project Officer (contact details are provided below).
